FIRST FRIDAY - MAY

We made it to May! It's hard to believe we've been home for seven weeks. I was not at my best the first few weeks we were home. Along with all the emotions and uncertainty like many people, I just felt lost. So I watched Love is Blind on Netflix with my girls. After a couple of weeks of too much Netflix, we finally found our way of being at home. We have our routines now and are doing okay. How are you?

Featured Soap

I am featuring Coffee Break Soap. Made with skin-loving oils and butters: coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, mango butter, and castor oil and has a lovely warm scent of cinnamon, vanilla, and coffee. My favorite thing about coffee break soap is there are coffee grounds throughout offering gentle exfoliation. There is not much in the shop right now. However, a lot is curing on the racks. I am planning on a restock forMonday, May 11. For the month of May, I will also be donating $1.00 for every bar of soap sold this month to the Keystone Opportunity Center.

Monthly Winner

Katy D. Is the monthly winner! Thank you to everyone that stopped by and shopped in April!

Cocktail

For the cocktail this month, I was inspired by the Tik Tok Whipped Coffee trend and made a Spiked Whipped Coffee. It is my understanding that Dalgona Coffee originated from a Korean TV show called Stars ‘Top Reecipe at Fun-Staurat. I chose to spike mine by adding Coffee Liqure.

Ingredients:

2 TBS Instant Coffee

1 1/2 cups of Milk (I used Coconut Milk)

1 TBS Sugar

1 oz Coffee Liquor (optional)

Steps:

  1. Decide if you want hot or cold. If hot, heat 1 1/2 cups of milk in a mug or for cold, in a glass add milk over ice.

  2. In a separate bowl, add instant coffee, sugar, and coffee liquor.

  3. With a hand blender, whip the instant coffee, sugar, and coffee liquor until it becomes a foamy consistency.

  4. Pour coffee foam over the milk and enjoy!

It is easiest to make with a hand blender, but you can always whisk it by hand; it just takes a little longer.

THANK YOU!

A big THANK YOU to essential workers I'm beyond grateful for you!!
