I’m having a delicious Apple Bourbon Mule. To make it, you need bourbon, apple cider, and ginger beer.
2 oz Bourbon
2 oz Apple Cider
Serve in a copper mug over ice and top with Ginger Beer. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and an apple slice. This would be delicious as a mocktail; skip the bourbon.

It's been over a year since I last posted here, and I’ve barely kept the soap shop going. I’m in a different season of life, and I no longer align with why I started Honey Locust Home. Ten years ago, I was a stay-at-home mom, and our home was a fixer-upper with several projects. Today we’re empty-nested; our house is no longer a fixer-upper because we rebuilt it after the fire, and I work full-time. I still think about this site and the soap shop, and I want it to be part of my life. Since I don't connect with its beginning, I've been neglecting it. This has been on my mind a lot lately, so I thought the best thing to do was to take action and come back to it.
I know I want to start sharing again, even though I’m not quite sure what that will look like. Starting back with a First Friday post seemed like a great place to start.
In the soap shop, I have updated inventory. I have some favorites in there, like Blue Crush and Fresh Bar. I have no vendor shows this holiday season, but I will keep soap stocked in my shop here.
Around the house, I’m not rushing the holidays. My social media is full of people decorating for the holidays. While I do want to get ahead of my shopping this month, I’m okay waiting to decorate. Do you like to decorate for the holidays early?
