I love kitchens!  I love cooking!  I am guilty of spending hours looking at kitchens on Pinterest, Houzz, and in magazines.  Cooking is something Josh and I love doing together.  This love of food and cooking is rubbing off on our girls, as well.

The kitchen we left behind

The kitchen we left behind

I usually cook 3 meals a day in our kitchen.  It's a space in our home that gets a lot of love and use.  Since I am in there so much, how it looks, feels, and is organized is important to me.  Below is the kitchen we left behind.  This kitchen is bright, has a big island, and tons of storage.  You cannot see from this picture, but it also has great lighting!!  The wall cabinet has accent lighting inside, there is under cabinet lighting highlighting the tile, and over the sink is a light I loved!  The thing I miss most is the island.  As a family we spent a lot of time around that island, talking, laughing, creating, and eating:)

Our current kitchen

Above is our current kitchen...It is much smaller, and there is no island, but I know it can be pretty and functional.  We will still put out some great meals and create many memories here.  The positives are; it has decent counter space, storage, and a window.  Most importantly it already holds so many great memories for us.  Josh's love of food and cooking started in this kitchen.  We have shared many great meals with family here.  I am looking forward to new memories and making this kitchen ours.

Below are some inspiration pictures I have found.  I am hoping to create a bright and cheerful space.  Come back to see how it turns out!!
