Happy Friday!

I can't believe we are closing out another year! I started Honey Locust Home in 2015, and so much has happened in the past six years. There has been a move to a new city, and I have always worked at a job while running Honey Locust Home. I can finally say I am feeling settled and Honey Locust Home is getting my full attention!! I am so happy this small business is still here and am looking forward to it thriving in 2022. Thank you for all your purchases and support; it means the world to me!

First Friday Cocktail - Candy Cane Martini

I stumbled across Candy Cane Vodka by Faber in November, so I picked it up. I wasn't sure what I would make with it and ultimately settled on a sweet Candy Cane Martini. While I have Candy Cane vodka all ready to go, I did a quick search and found tons of tutorials out there on how to infuse your own Vodka.

Ingredients needed:

3 oz Candy Cane Vodka

1 OZ Creme De Cacao (clear)

Ice

Candy Canes crushed and whole for garnish

Serves 2

I used Simple Syrup to coat the rim of the glass. You can buy this pre-made or make it by adding equal parts water and sugar and slowly simmering it until the sugar dissolves. Dip the rim of the glass in crushed candy canes. Add three oz Vodka and one oz Creme De Cacao to a glass over ice. Stir a few times and the stain into two martini glasses. Garnish with a candy cane and enjoy!

Showcase Product: Lotion Stick

I don't talk about lotion sticks all that much. I sell a ton of them at live markets. They are perfect for this time of year.
