It Is All Happening
As I sit here today writing, I am in a different house and a different town. Yes, living in a different town! We recently moved. It is something we had prepared for over the past six months. Josh had accepted a new job back in December that would move us.
We are in transition and moving forward. Keeping up with Honey Locust Home has not been easy over the past few months. Barely keeping up with a small Farmer's Market is about all I have been able to juggle.
The thing about moving is it forces you to go through your life and reflect. It is an overwhelming process and makes you think, what do I really need? I sit and think about family members and friends that have never moved. They have saved and collected their needs. Things like their kids preschool artwork, treasured infant clothes, loveys of the past, and little treasures collected along the way. Knowing they have them tucked away for when they are ready for them. I am ready to do the same. I want to put it away and not think about it for a while. I am looking forward to laying roots. I am overwhelmed by the thought of starting over in new area. We have been fortunate to have lived in two strong communities surrounded by amazing and wonderful family and friends (I regrettably have not done the best job at keeping in touch with them. Hopefully our new path will allow me time and opportunity to reconnect). I am hopeful and optimistic that we will again find a community that will be amazing and supportive.
We are currently in rental and have one more move in us. We are looking for what, we hope, will be our forever home. A place we can continue to grow as a family and for Honey Locust Home to grow.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be posting about some of the renovation and changes we made to our last property. It was such a great learning experience, and I look forward to reflecting on it and sharing here."All of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them" Walt Disney
