HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Are you ready for 2019? I am. This time of year I tend to get over ambitious and want to do all the things. Saying things like "this is going to be the best year ever!" Not this year. I am choosing to set a few goals, you know, good old achievable, measurable goals, and keep my focus there. Other than that my plan is to set an intention for each day and just live in the day. How do you approach the New Year?

Cocktail - Mocktail: Citrus Goodness

I feel like I mentioned a few times that we are going sugar-free in our home for January. Josh and I are also cutting alcohol, and for fun, I am giving up dairy this month. So I made a Citrus Mocktail, it's refreshing and tasty! I think I will be drinking a few of these this month. Here's the recipe:

Serves: 4

Ingredients

one whole grapefruit
one navel oranges
two lemons
three limes
club soda

To make: Juice the grapefruit, orange, lemons, and limes, into the same juicer, fill a glass (I used a red wine glass to make it more cocktail like) with ice, add two ounces of the combined juices into the glass, over the ice, top off with club soda, and garnish with fruit wedges. *if you want it sweeter and are eating sugar - you can use a lemon-lime soda.

January Soap -Eucalyptus Lemongrass

This month I am featuring Eucalyptus Lemongrass soap. This is one of my favorites and a best seller. You will swoon at the combination of sweet Lemongrass combined with tangy Eucalyptus. You can also find Eucalyptus Lemongrass Lotion Sticks in the shop.

This past month

I shared that we finished our hobby room-- we love it. My work table is scheduled to arrive next week and soon my soap studio will be up and running -- I could not be more excited!! The girls are dancing and spending time in there, and Josh and I are loving it for Yoga.

December was a great month! We had a great Christmas spending time with family and friends. We took the kids ice skating in New York and explored Philadelphia at Christmas! So fun.

Looking Ahead

I am working on some pretty exciting stuff in the soap, bath, and body world, and will be sharing all that news in a few weeks. For the most part this month I will be busy making and filling up the shop.

Josh and I are starting to plan a garden for this year. Unfortunately, the year we just had never allowed us to get anything planted. So we are beyond excited to grow some food this year!

Things We Are Loving

This past month we love our record player -- I bought it for Josh a few years ago for his birthday. The one we have is no longer available, but here is a similar player and stand to ours.
